the-saleroom, EasyLive & Bidspotter: one search box

If you buy at UK auctions, you already live this problem: the same auctioneer runs March's sale on the-saleroom and April's on EasyLive. The lot you want could be on either, or on Bidspotter, where the trade and commercial sales live. Three tabs, three searches, three sets of results that never meet.

Why UK auction search is split three ways

the-saleroom is the UK's biggest portal, but its listing fees push many provincial houses to run some or all of their sales on EasyLive instead, often switching platform from one sale to the next. Bidspotter, meanwhile, hosts a different slice again: trade, commercial and specialist sales that rarely appear on either of the others. None of the three will show you the others' lots, they're competitors. The gaps between them are where buyers miss things.

One search across all three: plus five more

Auction Bid Assistant's free browser extension searches the-saleroom, EasyLive and Bidspotter simultaneously, alongside eBay, Invaluable, NumisBids, iCollector and LiveAuctionWorld. One keyword, one set of results: images, estimates, current bids where shown, sale dates and countdowns, in per-platform tabs with house filters and sorting.

It works by searching from inside your own browser, technically the same as you opening each site and searching yourself, just done for you in seconds. That's why these three platforms need the extension rather than a plain website: they can't be searched remotely, only by a real browser like yours. Nothing is stored on our servers, and the extension needs only minimal permissions, it cannot read your browsing history and never bids.

Want to try before installing?

The same search box works on this website with no install at all for eBay, iCollector, LiveAuctionWorld and Featured Auction catalogues, a quick way to feel how multi-platform search works before adding the-saleroom and EasyLive to it.

Built for how UK buyers actually work

Save any lot with one click, from search results or while browsing the-saleroom and EasyLive directly, where the extension adds a Save Lot button to lot pages. Export your shortlist as a printable PDF grouped by sale for viewing day, or CSV for your records. And on sale day, the optional live bridge feeds the auctioneer's asking price into the free bid calculator, so your maximum (with premium and VAT included) is always in front of you.

Common questions

Does it search all of the-saleroom and EasyLive?

It runs your keyword through each platform's own search, exactly as if you searched there yourself, same coverage, same results, one place.

Do I need accounts on the platforms?

Not to search. To bid, you use your existing account on whichever platform hosts the lot, bidding always happens on the platform itself.

Bidspotter UK or US?

Both, there's a country toggle, covering bidspotter.co.uk and bidspotter.com.

Is the extension safe?

It requests minimal permissions, cannot read your browsing history, only reads publicly visible auction listings, and never modifies pages or places bids. No account, no personal data.
