Auction Bid Assistant

Install the Live Bridge Extension

Connects the-saleroom.com and EasyLive to your bid ladder โ€” saves lots while browsing, feeds live bid prices during auctions.

What does it do? The extension does two things: adds a ๐Ÿ”จ Save Lot button to every lot page as you browse, so you can build your import list without copying URLs manually; and reads the asking price and current bid from the live auction page, sending it to your bid ladder in real time so you always see your total cost at every increment. It never modifies pages or places bids.

Safari Extension โ€” Coming Soon

The Safari extension for macOS is built and submitted to the Mac App Store. We're waiting on Apple's review โ€” it will appear here as soon as it's approved.

Firefox and Chrome both run on Mac and have the extension available today. Firefox is the easiest โ€” one click, no setup.

How to Use During a Live Auction

Add your lots beforehand

While browsing, tap ๐Ÿ”จ Save Lot on each lot page. Open the extension popup, download or copy the list, and paste it into โฌ† Bulk Import in the app. Fees, estimates, and lot details are extracted automatically.

Open the auction in another tab

Log in to the-saleroom.com or EasyLive and open the live bidding page. Keep this tab open alongside the app.

Tap Go Live in the app

The bid ladder fills your screen. As the auctioneer calls prices, the asking price and current bid highlight on your ladder automatically โ€” so you always see your total cost at every increment.

Mark Won / Lost / Pass

When a lot finishes, tap the result. The app advances to your next lot. When all lots are done, review your results, see sale totals, and export to CSV.

Common Questions

Does the extension place bids for me?

No. It only reads publicly visible data from the auction page โ€” the asking price and lot number. You still bid on the auction platform as normal. The app is a visual calculator.

Which browsers are supported?

Firefox (recommended โ€” one-click install from Mozilla Add-ons) and Chrome (one-click from Chrome Web Store). A Safari extension for macOS is in development and awaiting App Store approval โ€” it will be listed here once available. The app itself works on all browsers and devices without the extension; you just update the current bid manually instead of having it auto-update.

I use Safari on Mac. What can I do right now?

The app works fully in Safari โ€” add lots, set budgets, use the bid ladder. The only thing missing is the automatic live price feed and Save Lot button, which require the extension. Both Firefox and Chrome run on Mac and support the extension today. Firefox is the easiest to install โ€” one click from Mozilla Add-ons.

Which auction platforms does it work with?

Currently the-saleroom.com and EasyLive Auction. More platforms are being added โ€” use the feedback button in the app to request one.

Why is the Bridge indicator grey?

Make sure: (1) the extension is installed and enabled, (2) you have the auction site open in another tab in the same browser window, (3) the auction page has finished loading. The bridge sends a heartbeat every 3 seconds โ€” wait a moment and it should turn green.

The Chrome extension disappeared after restarting

Chrome Web Store extensions update automatically and stay enabled after restarts. If it has disappeared, just reinstall it from the Chrome Web Store.

Is my data safe?

All data stays in your browser. The extension never sends anything to any server, never accesses your login credentials, and never modifies any web page. Read the full privacy policy โ†’
